DAVID Cameron needs to be honest with voters.

He must reveal how long he’s known Lord Ashcroft hasn’t paid tax in Britain.

The Tory leader continuously ducked the question yesterday.

He wanted to focus on the Conservative’s plans for a future government.

But the problem is that he’s pushing himself as the saviour of the nation.

He said it’s the party’s “patriotic duty” to win the election.

But it’s not exactly patriotic that his main cash backer avoids contributing money to our economy.

If Cameron is serious about becoming Prime Minister he must tackle this row head-on.

Otherwise he risks being branded a liar.

Labour are already claiming he covered up the politically-sensitive issue.

Voters will not be satisfied until they get the truth.

They won’t vote for someone who holds back to protect their own skin.
